I'm sitting back here updating PT, enjoying what's become known as the E-Cig.
It's a new product designed as a 'smoking cessation device', an aid to help you drop that expensive and potentially lethal habit. There are hundreds of products in this category, unfortunately most of which are expensive pieces of shit. This was a breath of fresh air (ha ha ha), I was pleasantly surprised. I quickly discovered the real value in this product isn't to help you quit Nicotine but to remove the need to quit. This device delivers delicious Nicotine much like a real Cigarette, without the significant negatives of traditional Cigarettes. I've done the rounds when it comes to smoking-replacement products and this is the first to break out of the "expensive bullshit" category.
In 2005, a Chinese company perfected the technology (it figures, half the worlds smokers live there!). E-cigarettes deliver pure Nicotine hits, in Cigarette format, without the hazardous smoke. Nicotine may be addictive but it's also quite useful and relatively harmless, a bit like Caffeine in its effects on the human body.
E-Cigarettes and their Re-fill Cartridges are also vastly cheaper than their Tobacco counterparts; this is because there's no Tobacco Tax on Nicotine. I'm delighted to have discovered this product, if you decide to try one I'd love to hear your experiences. My distributor of choice is E-CigaretteShop. There are a few alternatives out there, but be sure not to pay over $60 for any E-Cigarette. They all come from the same dozen factories in China. Only a handful of Chinese companies hold the patents to produce E-Cigarettes, so anything you buy regardless of price is likely from the same source. Watch out for some American companies repackaging Chinese E-Cigarettes, claiming them superior and charging $100+ per kit.
